While working as a designer at The Pekoe Group, I created an illustrated book that explains the agency's role in theatrical advertising through a playful, children's book-inspired narrative.
Goal / Brief
The project began with a simple idea from the creative team: create an approachable and engaging way to explain how theatrical advertising works. I was responsible for illustrating, designing, and laying out the book from start to finish.
The story featured personified orange fruit characters inspired by the agency's account teams, each with their own unique personality and role within the narrative.
Challenges
This was the first book I developed entirely from scratch. In addition to creating the illustrations and layouts, I was responsible for preparing the project for print, which challenged me to think beyond the artwork and consider the technical requirements of book production.
What I'm Proud Of
I'm especially proud that every illustration in the book originated from my own concepts and artwork. What began as a series of simple fruit characters evolved into a complete cast with distinct personalities, allowing me to combine illustration, storytelling, and design into a single project.
