Ken Rex is a play based on the true story of Ken Rex McElroy, a notorious bully whose actions terrorized a small town for years. The production was presented at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in 2026.
Goal / Brief
The production came to us with existing key art from a previous staging and wanted a stronger visual identity for its New York run. Using the original artwork and production photography as a starting point, we explored new concepts while maintaining elements of the established brand.
Challenges
Without the opportunity for a new photoshoot, we had to rely entirely on existing production photography. The creative direction also shifted throughout the process, requiring us to rethink concepts and adapt to new priorities.
What I'm Proud Of
I'm proud of the range of concepts I developed for the campaign, particularly the more illustrative directions explored during the early stages. The project challenged me to create impactful work while working within limited visual resources.
