Mythic is a contemporary retelling of the story of Hades and Persephone, reimagining the characters and conflicts of Greek mythology in a modern setting.
Goal / Brief
The project was initially presented as an album cover design, so my early concepts focused on the mythology, symbolism, and relationship between Hades and Persephone. As the creative direction evolved, the client emphasized the show's modern setting, nightlife atmosphere, and club-inspired aesthetic.
In response, I developed concepts that incorporated neon lighting, drama, and the bold visual style of early 2000s media while still referencing the story's mythological roots.
Challenges
The creative direction shifted throughout the project, making it challenging to establish a clear visual path. As the production is no longer moving forward, the concept development process was ultimately put on hold.
What I'm Proud Of
I'm particularly proud of the title treatment created for the project. Using Adobe Dimension for the first time, I designed and rendered the 3D typography myself, creating a gold texture that helped capture the dramatic tone of the show.
