SIX is a musical that reimagines the six wives of Henry VIII as pop stars, each telling her story through original songs in a concert-style performance.
Goal / Brief
The production was looking to refresh its existing key art. Working within the established brand, I explored new layouts and compositions that brought the queens together in a more dynamic way. This included ideas focusing on the concert aspect of the show and history.
After receiving feedback to create a greater sense of scale and drama, I developed a concept that placed the queens in a castle setting and arranged them in a layered formation to create movement and visual impact.
What I'm Proud Of
I originally believed this concept would be used for a single month's Playbill artwork. Instead, the client embraced the direction, and it ultimately became the production's official key art. Seeing an idea evolve from an exploratory concept into the final campaign was an especially rewarding experience.
