Picnic at Hanging Rock is a musical adaptation of Joan Lindsay's novel about a group of schoolgirls who mysteriously disappear during a picnic at Hanging Rock. The production was presented at Greenwich House Theater.
Goal / Brief
The key art was created by Christina D'Angelo, and my role was to develop a cohesive branding system based on those visuals. Using the existing artwork as a foundation, I adapted and expanded the design language across digital and print applications throughout the show's run.
The creative direction emphasized a whimsical, feminine aesthetic while maintaining the mystery and atmosphere of the story.
What I'm Proud Of
I'm particularly proud of the branding system I created for the production. By drawing from the geometric shapes and visual motifs in the key art, I developed a flexible set of design elements that could be reused across a wide range of materials while maintaining a consistent visual identity.
This was also one of the first projects I was able to build out independently, taking the branding from concept to execution across the campaign.
