Happy Medium Magazine is Binghamton University’s student-run, nonpartisan politics magazine, dedicated to fostering respectful and productive discussions on national and global political issues. At Happy Medium Magazine, I worked as the layout designer, balancing the existing brand identity with a fresh approach and designed over five 40 page magazines.
For the "Decades" edition, which explored different historical periods, I designed each article, researched images, created illustrations, and prepared the publication for print. The design elements reflected the evolution of graphic design through history.
For the "Valley Unveiled" edition—the first magazine created for Chenango Valley High School in collaboration with Happy Medium—I developed its identity from scratch, designed each articles layout, researched images, and created illustrations. This project allowed me to establish a unique visual identity for the magazine.
For the "Innovation" edition, which focused on a range of political issues from local to global in the context of an election, I designed each article, researched images, created illustrations, and prepared the publication for print. The design elements highlighted the diverse political themes seen locally and globally.
